Obtaining

Shears or a tool enchanted with Silk Touch can collect the leaf block itself. Ordinary breaking is instead the way to obtain the small sapling and stick drops supplied by the leaves loot table.

Breaking

Acacia leaves are soft and non-solid. Their normal block strength is 0.2, they dampen light slightly, and their foliage can be destroyed by fire or lava.

Natural generation

Acacia leaves form the rounded canopy of acacia trees in savannas. Their foliage is a living leaf block: nearby logs and persistent leaves keep a canopy connected, while detached non-persistent leaves can decay.

The block occupies a standard full volume and is shown with an isometric preview.

Behavior

Each leaf block stores a distance from the nearest log, a persistent flag and a waterlogged flag. A non-persistent block at distance 7 is checked during random ticks and is removed when it is no longer supported.
