Birch Forest
Birch Forest — biome.
Natural resources
Harvest birch logs, leaves, saplings, and flowers while exploring the forest. Replant saplings near a base to turn the first woodland visit into a renewable supply of birch planks and sticks. Birch trees are dense enough to provide a large first wood cache, but leave a small working area so dropped saplings are not hidden under the canopy.
Natural generation
Birch Forest is a temperate Overworld biome with temperature 0.6, downfall 0.6 and precipitation. Its visual profile is a birch canopy over grass and soil, with the same forest overworld music pool used by the source data. It commonly forms a transition between plains, forests and other temperate terrain; the related Old Growth Birch Forest is the taller, denser variant.
The surface generation adds glow lichen, birch trees, bushes, forest grass, flowers, mushrooms, pumpkins, sugar cane and firefly bushes near water. Underground generation includes caves, extra underground caves, canyons, underground lava lakes, amethyst geodes, monster rooms, springs and the normal Overworld ore distribution. A freeze-top-layer pass is also present in the biome definition.

Exploration and building
Birch forests are a practical starting area: wood, food animals, flowers and open ground are close together. Use a clearing for a first shelter, then connect it to a nearby cave or river without removing the whole canopy. Birch logs and planks provide a light building palette, while saplings make the wood supply renewable. The feature list also makes the biome useful for finding flowers, mushrooms, pumpkins, sugar cane and firefly bushes.
Climate and environment
The creature spawner lists sheep, pigs, chickens and cows in groups of up to four. Hostile entries include spiders, zombies, zombie villagers, skeletons, creepers and slimes with weight 100 for the main four groups, plus endermen with weight 10 and witches with weight 5. Bats use the ambient category, while glow squids use the underground-water category with groups of four to six.
Open clearings are safer in daylight, but the canopy and caves leave dark pockets where hostile mobs remain active. Glow squids use underground water rather than the forest surface, matching the separate underground-water spawner entry.
