Desert
Desert — biome.
Obtaining
Natural generation
Deserts are hot, dry Overworld biomes built around broad sand surfaces with sandstone beneath. Their terrain is often open and level, but caves, canyons, fossils, amethyst geodes, desert wells, villages, and desert pyramids can still break the horizon or hide below it.
The local generation pipeline runs the normal Overworld carvers and ore passes, then adds fossil decoration, desert dry grass, dead bushes, sugar cane, pumpkins, cacti, mushrooms, water and lava springs, and a surface desert well. This makes the biome sparse at a glance while keeping a large technical feature set underneath.

Description
Long sightlines make a desert practical for roads, rail lines, redstone test areas, and villages that need clear space. Sand is easy to gather in bulk, while sandstone and cacti turn the same trip into a building and dye-material run.
The dry surface also changes how players read danger: husks and parched can appear among the usual nighttime monsters, and the lack of rain keeps snow and water-based plans visually distinct. A well or pyramid is a useful landmark when the terrain repeats for hundreds of blocks.

Climate and environment
The biome's creature table gives rabbits weight 12 with groups of 2–3 and camels weight 1 with groups of one. Ambient bats use the cave spawn list, while glow squids can appear in underground water.
Monster entries retain the common Overworld set—spiders, zombies, skeletons, creepers, slimes, endermen, and witches—and add husks at weight 80 and parched at weight 50, both in groups of four. The zombie and skeleton entries use the desert-specific monster helper values rather than replacing the whole monster table.
