Jungle

Biomes

Jungle — biome.

Natural resources

Jungle trees provide logs, leaves, saplings, and cocoa beans. Vines, melons, pumpkins, sugar cane, and warm flowers share the feature set around the forest floor. A small marked clearing is valuable as a reliable return point when collecting materials under the canopy.

Natural generation

Jungle is a warm, wet forest biome with tall trees, vines, and dense foliage. The canopy creates several vertical layers, so travel is often easier above the ground than through the dense undergrowth. Its climate profile is temperature 0.95 with downfall 0.9, and rain is present.

Jungles usually border forests, plains, deserts, wooded badlands, birch forests, and dark forests. Rivers often separate the regular jungle from its sparse and bamboo variants, while lush caves are common below the humid surface.

Building and travel

Jungle wood supports a complete building family, while vines and cocoa add living detail to walls and paths. Boats made from jungle planks are useful when the biome borders a river or ocean. Jungle pyramids provide a compact exploration target with traps and loot.

Sounds

The biome plays jungle overworld music and enables increased fire burnout. Its

visual colors and ambient music are biome attributes rather than block states.

Climate and environment

Ocelots, parrots, and pandas inhabit jungles, while cocoa beans grow on jungle trunks. The spawn table gives parrots groups of 1–2, ocelots groups of 1–3, and pandas groups of 1–2. Bats, common passive mobs, and ordinary hostile mobs also use the biome's normal spawn rules. The layered canopy gives animals many hiding places, so a clear path and a few torches make an expedition easier to read.

Data values

The biome uses the `minecraft:jungle` identifier and a warm, wet forest profile. The local Java snapshot records the sky and water colors used by the renderer, plus caves, geodes, ores, and jungle tree features in the generation list.
