End Barrens
End Barrens — biome.
Natural generation
End barrens are the exposed rims of the outer End islands. The biome is deliberately spare: its generator has no placed features or carvers, leaving broad end-stone shelves, steep edges and an unobstructed view of the void. This makes the barrens a useful boundary when travelling between the central End island and the outer-island biomes.

Spawns and exploration
Endermen are the only mob entry in the biome's generated monster spawner list. The open surface makes them easy to spot, but it also provides little cover when a stare turns into a fight. Build bridges before leaving the rim, keep an escape route, and use nearby gateways to continue across the outer islands; the drop to the void is close to every exposed edge.
