Snort Pottery Sherd
Snort Pottery Sherd — item.
Obtaining
The snort pottery sherd is obtained by brushing suspicious sand in warm ocean ruins. The warm-ocean archaeology pool selects one item per roll, so the brush, the suspicious block, and the ruin structure are all part of the route to this pattern rather than optional decoration.
| Source structure | Warm ocean ruin |
|---|---|
| Source block | Suspicious sand |
| Tool | Brush |
| Archaeology roll | One item from the warm-ocean pool |
Usage
The sherd is used to apply its pattern to a decorated pot. Four sherds form the pot's sides, and the selected side keeps the snort motif visible as a permanent part of the finished block. A brick can fill a missing side when a complete set of matching sherds is unavailable.
Crafting ingredient
Four pottery sherds form the sides of a decorated pot. A brick can replace a side, but the snort sherd is the ingredient that gives that side its pattern.

| Pattern | Snort |
| Result | Decorated pot |
Data values
The item uses the `minecraft:snort_pottery_sherd` identifier and stores the snort pattern as its identity. It is an archaeology ingredient, not a placeable block, and can be combined with other sherds or bricks in the decorated-pot recipe.

History
The sherd is intentionally kept as an item-level pattern token. Archaeology chooses it from the warm-ocean ruin loot pool, while the decorated-pot pattern registry maps the item to the finished pot face; the two steps remain separate so the same item can be inspected in both contexts.
