Obtaining

A pink bed can be found as a generated furnishing in villages and can be broken and placed again as one item. Its two block halves stay together while it is placed, so removing either half removes the bed.

Usage

The block occupies a standard full volume and is shown with an isometric preview.

A bed sets a respawn point and lets a player sleep at night or during thunderstorms. In the Overworld it advances the night to sunrise when the sleep requirements are met; an occupied or obstructed bed cannot be used. Attempting to sleep in an invalid dimension makes the bed explode instead of setting a respawn point.

Sounds

Pink beds use the wooden block sound family for placement, breaking, stepping and hitting. Sleeping and explosion events use separate interaction sounds.

History

Beds first acted as sleep and respawn blocks, later gained coloured variants including pink, and eventually became separate coloured block identifiers. Village generation and villager sleep behaviour made beds part of both player travel and settlement management.
