Usage

The block occupies a standard full volume and is shown with an isometric preview.

Slime blocks stick to adjacent blocks and power piston mechanisms; landing on one softens fall damage. They are slightly slippery, slow walking, and can be used as a brewing ingredient for the Potion of Oozing. Sneaking prevents the bounce while still cancelling fall damage.

History

Slime blocks were introduced as a redstone building block and later gained piston movement, honey-block separation and Potion of Oozing brewing uses. Recent Java fixes made sneaking and edge landings consistently cancel fall damage.

Trivia

The maximum bounce is much lower than the original fall height, so a very tall drop turns into a compact launch rather than a full return to the starting point.
