Cherry Grove

Biomes

Cherry Grove — biome.

Obtaining

Natural generation

Cherry groves are cool, wet mountain biomes with a temperature of 0.5 and downfall of 0.8. They generate on mountain slopes, plateaus, and inside mountain rings, sometimes as a small isolated microbiome or a broad elevated valley. Their lower edge can meet plains or sunflower plains, while higher edges commonly meet snowy slopes, frozen peaks, meadows, or savanna plateaus.

The surface is covered by cherry trees, pink leaves, pink petals, and tall grass. The biome also receives ordinary Overworld caves, canyons, ores, amethyst geodes, and infested stone. Village generation is not part of the biome, but pillager outposts can still appear in suitable terrain.

Exploration and building

Cherry groves are a highland wood source and a scenic base location. Cherry logs and planks provide a pink building palette, while pink petals mark the surface and can be used to decorate paths. Keep a clearing near the slope so the dense trees do not hide hostile spawn spaces.

Sounds

The biome uses the Overworld ambient profile and can select the cherry-grove music pool while the player remains in the biome. Music is chosen from several calm exploration tracks rather than from a single looping song.

Climate and environment

The local creature table is intentionally small: pigs, rabbits, and sheep spawn on the surface. Spiders, skeletons, creepers, zombies, slimes, endermen, witches, and zombie villagers use the normal hostile table; bats and glow squids belong to underground spaces. The pink canopy can be dense, so light clearings before building a path or a farm.

History

Cherry groves were introduced with the cherry tree biome family and became a normal world-generation option with the cherry update. The biome later received additional music tracks while keeping its mountain-slope placement and pink surface palette.

Trivia

The biome can form a narrow band between a meadow and a snowy mountain, so its tree line is often a useful visual marker for finding high terrain. Its colour values are fixed biome data, while the exact shape is determined by the surrounding mountain climate parameters.
