Endermite

Natural spawning

Endermites are not a regular biome spawn. Their creation is triggered by an ender pearl, and the trigger is disabled in peaceful difficulty or when monster spawning is disabled.

An endermite has no ordinary item drop. The spawn egg is a separate creative or command item and is not a natural loot result.

Sounds

Ambient, hurt, death and step sounds belong to the endermite entity sound family. Portal particles accompany its pearl-triggered appearance, while the ender pearl remains the item used to start the event.

Behavior

An endermite is a small hostile arthropod. When an ender pearl lands, there is a 5% chance for one to appear at the impact point. It attacks nearby targets, can climb powder snow and normally disappears after about 2,400 game ticks.

The entity identifier is `minecraft:endermite`. It is tagged as an arthropod, can walk on powder snow and is affected by Bane of Arthropods.
