Obtaining
Use a water bucket on a tropical fish to capture the living fish and its current variant. Wandering traders can also sell a bucket of tropical fish for three emeralds; that traded fish receives a random variant when released.

Breeding and companions
Buckets of tropical fish are accepted when breeding or leading axolotls and tamed nautiluses. They can also accelerate the growth of baby axolotls and nautiluses.

Usage
Use the filled bucket to place a water source and release the fish, leaving an empty bucket. Released fish do not despawn like naturally spawned tropical fish. A dispenser can place both the water and fish in front of itself, but cannot pick a fish back up.

Sounds
Capturing and releasing a fish use the bucket and water interaction sounds. The released fish then uses the normal tropical-fish ambient sounds.

Stored fish data
The bucket stores the fish's colour, pattern, name, and other entity data. A named fish keeps that name after release, making the item useful for moving a specific aquarium fish between bases.
