Mud Brick Slab
Mud Brick Slab — block.
Obtaining
Mud brick slabs are the half-block form of the mud-brick building set. A pickaxe is required to collect them; without the correct tool the block drops nothing. They also generate as part of trail ruins, where their half-block shape helps form paths, ledges, and low walls.

Breaking
A single slab drops one slab, while a double slab drops two when its full block state is harvested. The block has hardness 1.5 and blast resistance 3, so it is quicker to harvest than the full mud-brick block while still requiring a pickaxe for a drop.

Natural generation
Mud brick slabs generate in trail ruins and are used for building. Their placement in the ruins is a useful clue that the structure uses the same mud-brick family as its stairs and walls.

Usage
A slab occupies half the height of a standard block.
Mud brick slabs fill the half-block role in the mud-brick set. Use top and bottom halves to create stairs, ledges, and compact roofs; matching slabs combine into a full block. The slab can be waterlogged, which makes it useful for compact underwater details without changing its building footprint.
