Usage

A trapdoor uses a thin horizontal panel.

An iron trapdoor is a thin barrier and a redstone-controlled passage. Unlike wooden trapdoors, it cannot be opened by a normal hand interaction; its shape can still be placed on the top or bottom half of a block and can be waterlogged.

Sounds

The block uses the metal sound family for breaking, placing, stepping, hitting, and falling. Opening and closing use the dedicated `block.iron_trapdoor.open` and `block.iron_trapdoor.close` events.

Behavior

Adjacent redstone power changes the `powered` state and synchronizes the `open` state. A lever, powered block, or another redstone component can therefore make the trapdoor act as a reliable two-state barrier.
