Spawning

Ravagers appear during raids and accompany groups of illagers. They are tied to the raid encounter rather than ordinary nighttime spawning, which makes their silhouette a warning that the village event has escalated.

Drops

A ravager always drops one saddle. It also awards 20 experience when a player or a tamed wolf is credited with the defeat.

Behavior

The ravager is a large hostile mob with a charge, bite and roar. It notices players, adult villagers, wandering traders and iron golems at long range, and a raised shield can stop its charge and briefly stun it. Its size and forward momentum make open ground dangerous, so walls, height changes, and controlled routes are useful when defending a village.
