Obtaining

Ink sacs drop from squids and can also be obtained through the validated fishing and loot projections. A squid normally drops one to three sacs; Looting can increase that count by up to one.

Drops

The squid loot table gives ink sacs from one roll. The item is also the material used by the shapeless black-dye recipe, so the same drop feeds both a colour resource and sign-text interactions.

Usage

Ink sacs create black dye, apply to sign text, and are used with a loom. The black-dye recipe is shapeless, so the sac can be placed in any crafting slot.
