Obtaining

Waxed copper lanterns are made by applying honeycomb to a copper lantern. The waxed form can then be placed as a normal lantern and drops itself through the matching block loot table.

The shapeless recipe combines one copper lantern with one honeycomb and returns one waxed copper lantern. The recipe is grouped with the other waxed copper family conversions.

Usage

The block occupies a standard full volume and is shown with an isometric preview.

The block is a decorative light source that can stand on the floor or hang from a ceiling. Wax preserves the copper color so the lantern does not continue through the normal oxidation stages.

Behavior

Waxing locks the current copper stage. An axe can remove the wax, returning the corresponding unwaxed copper lantern so it can oxidize again; the same interaction family is used by the other waxed copper blocks.
