Loom

Obtaining

A loom is crafted from two string and two planks. It always drops itself when broken; an axe is the fastest tool. Shepherd houses in villages and trail ruins can also contain one.

Usage

The block occupies a standard full volume and is shown with an isometric preview.

Using a loom opens a compact interface with slots for a banner, a dye, and an optional banner-pattern item. The preview lists available patterns, consumes the banner and dye when the result is taken, and keeps the pattern item.

Sounds

The loom uses wooden block sounds and has a UI event when a banner pattern is selected.

Behavior

An unclaimed loom can be claimed by a nearby unemployed villager, turning that villager into a shepherd and making the loom its job-site block.

The block stores a horizontal facing direction. Interacting on the server opens the loom menu and records the loom interaction statistic; the client only receives the successful interaction result.
