Obtaining
Breaking the attached melon stem uses the validated loot table for melon seeds. The drop is binomial, so each broken stem can yield a small number of seeds rather than a fixed count.

Natural generation
The attached melon stem appears when a melon stem produces a melon beside it. Its attachment records the neighbouring melon and replaces the free-standing stem at that position.

Usage
The block occupies a standard full volume and is shown with an isometric preview.
The attached stem is the growth stage that connects a melon stem to a fully grown melon. It is a visual block state, while the melon remains the harvestable block.

The block uses the melon stem sound family for placement and breaking interactions.
Behavior
The stem can grow on farmland and changes into the attached state when it creates a melon. Breaking the attached state returns the seed drop described above.
